Found in the Philippines as a small sized, unifoliate, hot growing orchid with ovoid, slightly compressed, lightly grooved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, leathery, oblong-obtuse leaf that blooms in the fall on a 2" [5 cm] long infloresence with 2 oblong, obtuse bracts and lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts all carrying 8 to 10 crowded, subumbellate flowers
