Common Name The Recurved Lip Bulbophyllum [refers to the distinctly recurved top part of the lip]

Found in Brunei Borneo in primary forest at elevations around 900 to 1100 meters as a small to just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to distinct, .08 to .16” [2 to 4 mm] between each obliquely erect, ovoid, not angular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, ovate, mucronate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a short, peduncle to .08 to .1” [2 to 2.5 mm] long, provided with 2 scales, single flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts
"In general habit very similar to B. comberi J. J. Verm. This latter species has a narrower lip which is hardly curved near the top, more distinctly widened towards the base, it has a higher median ridge and a median slit only close to the base." Vermeulen 1996
