Common Name Comber's Bulbophyllum [English Orchid Taxomonist at Kew and Indonesia 1900's and early 2000's]

Flower Size 1/10th" [2mm]

Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java and Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 750 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing trunk epiphyte and occasional terrestrial with globose, ribbed, angled pseudobulbs to 1/2" [1.2cm apart] enveloped basally by an evanescent sheath and carrying 2 apical, conduplicate basally leaves that blooms in the spring on a very short, basal, single flowered inflorescence holding the flower under the leaf

Similar to both B ciliatum and B depressum but differs first in being smaller in all dimensions. From B ciliatum it differs in having a median ridge on the adaxial side of the lip, from B acutum it differs in not having distinct side lobes to the lip
