Common Name The Decorated Heart Bulbophyllum [refers to the decorated [rim of fine hairs] heart-shaped labellum]

Flower Size 1 1/4" [3 cm]

Found in Papua New Guinea at elevations of 3000 meters as a unifoliate, cold growing epiphyte that blooms on a 2" [5 cm] long inflorescence carrying a single flower held at or just above leaf height.

This species does best clay potted with some chopped moss added for retaining water.

Said to be a synonym of Bulbophyllum discolor but I have left them separate pending more inforamation.
