Found in Java at elevations of 1350 to 2000 meters often found low-climbing in light scrub or scrambling across sphagnum moss patches in bright conditions as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with an elongate woody rhizome with 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] between each conical, terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, thick, elliptic, acute, narrowing below into a short petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, 4" [10 cm] tall umbellate inflorescence with lanceolate, cuspidate floral bracts and carrying 8 to 10 flowers.
