Found in penninsular Malaysia and Sabah Borneo in open, stunted forest on serpentine soil at elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a presumably pendulous rhizome giving unknown pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, ovate, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a patent, peduncle to .12 to .16" [.3 to .4 cm] long, provided with 2 scales, rachis .56 to .72" [1.6 to 1.8 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying red flowers with blue appendages.
