Common Name or Meaning The Cylindrical Bulb Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .12" [3 mm]

Found in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in lower montane forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] between each cylindrical pseudobulb carrying asingle, apical, erect to suberect, oliquely ligulate, obtuse, narrowly subpetiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a graceful, erect, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, laxly 2 to 15 flowered inflorescence with ovate to elliptic, tip obtuse to acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
