Common Name da Cruz's Bulbophyllum [Brazilian Discoverer of species current]

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations around 220 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovate-tetragonal, sulcate, dull yellow pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, yellow green, erect-spreading, coriaceous, oblong, apiculate, attenuate and canaliculate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a basal, erect, rigid, 10 to 12.8" [25 to 32 cm] long, green below becoming dark red above, enveloped by membraneous, amplexicaul, dull yellow bracts, abruptly curved at the junction of the peduncle and rachis, rachis to 4" [10 cm] long, simultaneously 3 to 4, successively to 15 flowered inflorescence with persistent, cream colored, triangular, acute floral bracts.

This species is cited as synonomous with B peri but I have left them separate for now
