Found in Yunnan province of China and Thailand at elevations of 1400 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, mat forming, cool growing epiphyte with close set, flat, discoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, from near the center, sessile, almost heart shaped leaf that blooms in the later summer on a 1.2" long, including the pedicel and ovary, single flowered inflorescence
"Morphologically Bulbophyllum konstantinovii Aver. 2013 may be closest to Bulbophyllum simplicilabellum Seidenf. andB. didymotropis Seidenf. described from Thailand, but distinctly differs in 3 nerved sepals, broadly ovate, oblique, acute petals, broad cup-like, cordate broadening of column foot apex and inflated fleshy margin of the lip."
