Found in Yunnan province of China and Thailand at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set, globose becoming rugose and squat pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, fat, lanceolate leaf that blooms in the fall on a very short, many flowered inflorescence with nearly as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying the flowers in a dense, subumbellate arrangement
