Flower Size .36" [9 mm]

Found in Sabah Borneo without locational data but grown at elevations around 700 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] between each depressed conical pseudobulb carrying an apical, erect, elliptic to ovate, acute to acuminate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a patent, 2 to 2.72" [5 to 6.8 cm] long peduncle, rachis patent-pendulous, slightly nodding at the base, nearly cylindrical, tapering at both ends, 10 to 13" [25 to 32.5 cm] long overall, successively few, to 75 flowered inflorescence.

Differs from the related B aithorhachis in having 2 distinct longitudinal ribs on the pad-like callus on the abaxial side of the lip.
