Found in Penninsular Malaysia and Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 520 to 600 meters on limestone as a small sized, warm growing, lithophytic orchid with a stout, long-creeping rhizome with 1" to 2 3/8" [3 to 6 cm] between each basally oblique and curved upwards, slightly flattened, apically narrowed pseudobulb which carries a single apical, oblong, apically rounded, basally petiolate leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a sheathed, basal, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with distichous, drooping flowers.
