Found in Sabah Borneo in forests at elevations around 2200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short creeping rhizome with persistent bracts giving rise to small, .08 to .4" [.2 to 1 cm] between each, ovoid, not angular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect to patent, obovate, rounded, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, peduncle to 6.4 to 8.8" [16 to 22 cm] long, provided with 4 bracts, rachis nodding, 1.8 to 2" [4.8 to 5 cm] long, very densely, cylindrical, 80 to 110 flowered inflorescence with just shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
