Found in Sikkim and Darjeeling at elevations around 400 to 500 meters as a hot growing epiphyte with no pseudobulb and a rhizome giving rise to a single, subcoriaceous, oblanceolate to elliptic-oblanceolate, obtuse and minutely bifid apically, gradually narrowing below into the sub to sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a erect, basal to from the rhizome, longer than the leaves, densely many flowered apically, capitulate inflorescence with a sheathing bract at the base and another half way up, as well as an ovate, half as long as the ovary floral bract.
