Found in Sarawak Borneo in high mossy forests and Agathis dominated, mossy podzolic forests at elevations around 800 to 1900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a short creeping rhizome with not persistent bracts giving rise to rather small, .08 to .24" [.2 to .6 cm] between each, ovoid, not angular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, patent to pendulous, rather dull green, abaxially suffused with purple, elliptic to ovate to obovate, acute to subacute, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a pendent, peduncle to .28 to 1.32" [.7 to 3.3 cm] long, provided with 3 to 4 bracts, rachis porrect, .01 to .28" [.25 to .7 cm] long, contracted, globose-ellipsoid, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts.
