Common Name Jay's Bulbophyllum [Dutch Botanist 2000's]

Flower Size 1.76" [4.4 cm] wide

Found in Brunei Borneo and Sumatra in primary forests at elevations around 200 to 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid to ellipsoid to orbicular, flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate to elliptic, acuminate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect to patent, peduncle .12" [.3 cm] long, 2 bracted, .28" [.7 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts.

Differs from B odoardii in the shorter stelida and a rostellum which protrudes from the lower margins of the stelida when the column is viewed laterally.
