Flower Size 1.76" [4.4 cm] wide

Found in Sarawak Borneo in lowland forests as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid to ellipsoid to orbicular, flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute-apiculate, more or less sessile base leaf that blooms on a basal, peduncle .04" [.1 cm] long, provided with 2 scales, .16" [.4 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with almost as long as the ovary floral bracts.

B jayii differs from B odoardii in the shorter stelida and a rostellum which protrudes from the lower margins of the stelida when the column is viewed laterally.
