Common Name Odoard's Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .4 to .48" [1 to 1.2 cm]

Found in Sabah Borneo in wet primary forests at elevations of 1200 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid, somewhat flattened to not pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate to elliptic, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a basal, peduncle .24 to .76" [.6 to 1.9 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 scales, .6 to 1.4" [1.5 to 3.5 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Similar to and in the past proffered in error as B puntjakense but differs in the single veined petals and in lacking verrucae on the adaxial side of the lip.
