Found in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces of China on trees, rocks and outcrops of rugged granite on vertical mossy faces in forests close to stream courses at elevations around 500 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a creeping to straggling rhizome with .8 to 2.8" [2 to 7 cm] between each, cylindric pseueobulb carrying a single apical, oblong, leathery, obtuse rounded and slightly emarginmate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring through summer on a basal, erect, slender, to 3.8" [9.5 cm] long, umbel-like, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 5 narrowly tubular bracts and narrowly lanceolate floral bracts.
