Common Name The Bottle-Shaped Bulbophyllum - In Australia The Smooth Strand Orchid

Flower Size .24 to .28" [6 to 7 mm]

Found in Queensland Australia in highland rainforests in shade on shrubs, trees and rocks at elevations of 900 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphtye or lithophyte with moderately crowded, somewhat flattened, pale green, deeply grooved pseduobulbs and carrying a single, apical, erect, dark green, stiff, obong, obtuse leaf that blooms in the mid spring through summer on a thread-like, .16 to .28" [4 to 7 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence
