Found in southern Hainan Island of China in forests on rocks as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing lithophyte with a creeping, branching rhizome with [1 to 4 cm] between each cylindric to ellipsoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, oblong, leathery, obtuse-rounded and slightly emarginate apically, contracted below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring through earlly fall on 1 to 2, basal or from the nodes on the rhizome, erect, slender, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, umbel-like, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with oblong, small, acuminate floral bracts
