Common Name or Meaning The Wingless Bulbophyllum

Found in Antioquia and Huila departments of Colombia and Zulia state of Venezuela at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to ovoid, appoximate, very rough pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong, oblong-lanceolate, acute, median vein slightly keeled beneath leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, 2.8 to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long, peduncle provided with a few scarious, tubular sheaths, rachis slightly to not thickened, few to many flowered inflorescence with triangular to ovate triangular, acute, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, membraneous flowers.
