Found in Sikkim, Bhutan and the eastern Himalayas at elevations around 900 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 1.5" [4 cm] between each cylindric pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong, blunt and slightly notched apically, slightly narrowed into the sessile to sub-sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer arising from the rhizome near the pseudobulb base, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter than the pseudobulb, 1 to 1.5" [2.5 to 3.7 cm] long, erect, slender, umbellate, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate, acuminate as long as the ovary floral bract
