Found in northern Sumatra in lichen rich evergreen forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a long creeping, rather thin, branchiong rhizome with 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] between each broadly ovoid, olive green pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, oblong to ovate, thick, fleshy, obtuse, shortly bilobed apically, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, from the nodes of the rhizome, very short, to 4 flowered inflorescence covered by loose tubular sheaths.
