Found in New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the late winter through early summer on an erect, short, single to 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers pale yellow and the lip is purple towards the base.
