Found in penninsular Malaysia, Sumatra in high and dry montane forests at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with close set, ellipsoid, flattened, adpressed to the rhizome, chain-like pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, thick, ovate leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 1/4" [.6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular floral bracts and carrying unscented flowers
