Found in Sabah Borneo in exposed locations in dry forests on branches with very coarse bark without moss at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizxome giving rise to close set, ovoid to ellipsoid, somewhat flatteneed pseudobulbs arranged in strands and each carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, sessile base leaf that blooms on a basal, peduncle .06 to .12" [1.5 to 3 mm] long, .24" [.6 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
B streptomorphum differs from B phaeoneuron in having a more odr kless globose lip apex and a distinct deltoid tooth along the lower margin of the stelida. It differs from B biseriale in not having a globose apex to the lip and the column including stelida are shorter than the petals.
