Found in New Guinea at elevations around 800 to 2500 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a pendent rhizome giving rise to, 2.4" [6 cm] between each cylindrical-ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-ligulate, obtuse, minutely apiculate, glabrous leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and early fall on a .2" [4 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, acute to apiculate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
