Found in southern India at elevations around 1200 to 1300 meters as a cool growing epiphyte with close set, wrinkled, broadly ovoid pseudobulbs carrying two apical erect, deciduous leaves that blooms after leaffall on an erect, racemose, filiform, decurved to 18" [45 cm] long, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
