Common Name The Red-White Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1.5" [1.6 cm]
Found in eastern New Guinea at elevations of 1800 to 2800 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with 1/4" to 1.2" [.7 to 3 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer through fall on a basal, 1.65 to 3.6" [4.2 to 9 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, acuminate floral bracts.
Similar to B ankylochele , B brassii, B alveatum and B peltopus.
