Common Name The Red Lipped Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in Taiwan in primary broadleafed forests on mossy tree trunks at elevations of 700 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to close set, ovoid, whitixh green, rugose to more or less tesselate with aging pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, oblong, dark green above light green beneath leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on an erect, basal, slender, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, densely 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers.
