Found in the Philippines without locality as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, conical, ribbed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, ovate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, to 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
This species is related to B maquilingense but it is a much larger plant and flower and in B rysyanum the floral segments have hairy margins except for the lip.
