Common Name The Marked Bulbophyllum [refers to the spotting on the flower]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Sarawak Borneo at low [50 meters] elevations as a hot to warm growing epiphyte with acreeping rhizome with hardly persistent scales giving rise to distinct, .08 to .8" [.2 to 2 cm] between each dark green, ovoid to ovoid -cylindrical pseudobulb enveloped basally by an evanescent sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, acuminate, conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, patent, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long overall, peduncle 1.2 to 2.48" [3 to 6.2 cm] long, provided with 4 to 5 scales, rachis if present, porrect, to .08" [2 mm] long, single or asubumbellate, simultaneously 2 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral rbacts and carrying not widely opening flowers.

"Bulbophyllum nabawanense J.J.Wood& A.Lamb, is most similar; it differs in having wider leaves, usually 2-flowered inflorescence, and a subtriangular, broadly attached median sepal." J J Vermeulen 1996
