Common Name The Doi Suthep Bulbophyllum [A District of Thailand] - In China Ju Zhu Shi Dou Lan
Flower Size 1/16" x 1/8" [1.5 mm X 7mm]
Found in Yunnan province of China, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Laos in sparse woods on tree trunks at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with round, pineapple-like, close-set pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, elliptic, coriaceous, subsessile leaf that narrows abruptly into the pseudobulb below and blooms in the spring on a basal, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, subumbellate few [4 to 5] flowered inflorescence.
