Common Name or Meaning The Tengchong Bulbophyllum - In China Yun Bei Shi Dou Lan

Found in southwestern Yunnan province of China in forests on tree trunks at elevations around 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with close set, subovoid, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, sessile, oblong, subleathery, scabrous apical margins, acute leaf that blooms in the early summer on 2 to 3, basal, .55" [1.3 cm] long, umbel-like, often 4 to 5 flowered with 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and ovate-lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, yellowish with a red lip and red apical parts of the sepals.
