Found in Sulawesi in montane forest at elevations of 1300 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping to shortly straggling rhizome enveloped by not persistent rhizome scales with .32 to .6" [.8 to 1.5 cm] between each conspicuous, ovoid-cylindrical, hardly angular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a patent peduncle .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm], provided with 4? bracts, rachis nodding, somewhat thickened, spindle-shaped, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, ca .16" [4 mm] across, lax raceme, 1.6 to 2.8" [4 to 7 cm] long overall, 10 to 12 flowered inflorescence with acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
