Common Name The Elegant Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1/6" [4.5mm]
Found in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Borneo, India and Singapore in heath and podosol forests at elevations around sealevel to 1280 meters in the lowlands on mangroves as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte requiring light shade and high humidity. It has garlic shaped pseudobulbs with a single, apical, oblanceolate, tapered below to a petiole leaf blooms in the fall on a 2 3/4" [7 cm] long inflorescence with several [8] flowers held in an umbel beneath the leaf.
CAUTION!!!Not to be confused with Cirrhopetalum concinnum Hkr. 1890 which is a synonym of Bulbophyllum trigonopus (Rchb.f.) P.T.Ong 2017
