Flower Size

Found in Choco' department of Colombia in lower montane forests at elevations around 650 meters as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect, short stem carrying 10, oblong-oblanceolate to oblanceolate, obtuse, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, peduncle 4" [10 cm] long, rachis to 16" [40 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with unknown colors.

Similar to C cuatrecasasii but differing in the half as long peduncle, a broader dorsal sepal amd a lip callus of 2 transversely rectangular lobules. Szlach & Kolan 2023
