Common Name or Meaning The Outward Radiating Dendrobium
Flower Size 2.4" [6 cm]
Found in Sarawak Borneo in lower montane mossy forets at elevations around 1200 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect to pendulous, cane-like, leafy in the upper half stems carrying 3 to 6, elliptic to ovate-elliptic, unequally roundly bilobed apically leaves that are densely covered above and beneath by black, scurfy hairs and articulated to the cylindric, black hairy sheaths that blooms arising from near the apex of the stem, few flowered inflorescence.
"Closely allied to D sculptum and have the exact same plant habit but D radians can be distinguished by the more distinctly 3 lobed lip witha broader, shallowly bilobulate reniform mid-lobe which also lacks the central dark orange blotch characteristic od D sculptum." J J Wood 2014
