Found in Madagascar as a medium to just large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 13 cauline, erect-patent, glabrous, linear-lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms on a to 6" [15 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate, the lower longer than the flowers the upper shorter that the flowers floral bracts
Similar to H arachnoides but H ferkoana differs in the more foliage, slightly larger flowers, the much more pointed peduncles, the lip and the pointed spur.
