Common Name The Black Footed Habenaria
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Parana, Rio do Sul and Santa Catarina states of Brazil as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by erect, linear, sheath-like, grading larger above leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an erect, to 3.2" [to 8cm] long, laxly 8 to 14 flowered inflorescence with erect, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, half as long as the ovary floral bracts CAUTION!! Some references put this species as a synonym of H alpestris but I have left them separate for now
