Found in northern Myanmar with an erect stem carrying all along the stem, ovate-lanceolate, subacute, amplexicaul leaves and patenat, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, acute, amplexicaul, trinerved, sparsely glaucous, cauline leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, to 10 flowered inflorescence with leafy, gradually decreasing above, twice as long to more floral bracts.
The plant overall is somewhat glaucous, the sepals are light green and the petals and lip are white." Rolfe 1909
This species is within a group of similar orchids consisiting of H davidii, H arietina, H intermedia, H limprichtii, H yueana, H mairei and H pectinata which all have trilobed lips with the two lateral sides with fringe.
