Found in Bolivia at elevations around 2380 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with pendant, long repent to pendent rhizomes giving rise to abbreviated ramicauls concealed by a long-spiculate lepanthiform sheath and carrying a single, apical, descending, coriaceous, glabrous, broadly elliptical, obtuse apically, 3 veined, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a single, slender, upcurved, .04" [1 mm] long, flowered inflorescence with an glabrous floral bract.

"In general habit this species is similat to most of the others of the subgenus. It is distinguished by the small, glabrous leaves; long -spiculate heaths of the rhizome and ramicauls, ovate, subacute narrowly elongate, long-ciliate petals and an obscurely cordate lip." Luer 1994
