Found in southeastern Ecuador around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, obtuse to subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a triquetrous, 4 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm] long, erect, successively single, few flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract at the base and has oblique, imbricating floral bracts.
