Found in southeastern Ecuador at elevations around 1300 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with stout, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute, narrowly cuneate into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a triquetrous, horizontal to pendent, congested, 2" [5 cm] successively single, racemose inflorescence from low on the ramicaul, with a basal bract and imbricating floral bracts.
