Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations around 3350 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicuals enveloped by 2 to 3 thin, loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a slender, suberect, .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long,single flowered inflorecence with a thin bract at the base and arising from very near the base of the ramicaul with tubular floral bracts.
