Found in Pastaza province of Ecuador without locality at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical to broadly elliptical, obtuse to rounded,cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on a slender, more or less horizontal to suberect, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a bract at the base, arising from low on the ramicaul and has a tubular floral bract and holding the flower at leaf height.
