Common Name The Saffron Yellow Two Winged Odontoglossum

Found in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru in wet montane forests at elevations of 2200 to 2750 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with ovoid to ellipsoid, purple spotted pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several pairs of distichous, imbricating sheaths with the uppermost being leaf-bearing carrying 2 [most often] apical, oblong to linear-lanceolate, acute leaves and blooms in the winter on an ascending or arching, 8" [20 cm] long, racemose or paniculate, inflorescence with fragrant, small flowers arising on a newly maturing pseudobulb.
