Found in Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with short ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single apical, elliptic-lanceolate, coriaceous leaf that blooms at any time of the year on a pendulous, filiform, 4" [10 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence
