Common Name The Pit Pleurothallis [Refrees to the deeply depressed glenion on the lip]

Flower Size

Found in Costa Rica at elevations around 750 to 2400 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath in the lower third and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, suberect to horizontal, coriaceous, ovate to oblong-ovate, acute leaf that blooms in the winter through mid summer on a fascile of successive or a few simultaneous, single flowers arising through a broad, more or less inflated, suberect spathe and has a tubular floral bract.
